I now know why (again)

the military uses sleep deprivation as a tactic to break people. WOW. The Lif's (minus Eva and Luke) are officially broken. We forgot how hard it is to function during the day when the baby is up literally every 15 minutes over night. Add to that the extra luxury of "playing" with a toddler all day and you get some interesting conversations in the middle of the night.

This morning Marc and I made a deal that anything goes in the middle of the night. We can be snippy and say whatever the heck we want (within reason) to eachother when the other one can't find the wipes or the petroleum jelly or whatever but all HAS to be forgiven in the morning. I think I made out on the deal.

America Ferrera? Cameron Diaz? Or J. Lo????

I'm getting the "new baby/new hairdo itch" and I don't even have the new baby yet. It's just like me to jump the gun on something like that, isn't it? I guess I figure I should do it now since I'll probably be a little busy here in a few days. My mom asked me if I will ever be leaving the house when the new kid comes along. I said "of course" all oblivious to what taking a 15 month old and a newborn out and about actually entails. She just stared blankley at me and said "How?". I dunno... I think I'll figure it out though. Here is what I'm trying to choose between. Input?

If this was lunch

does that mean I've "arrived"?
Mac 'N Cheese and "juicy" for the whole family.

"Do you know what you're having"

is currently the most frequently asked question around these parts. Answer= No. But we will find out soon enough and I'll post the answer here for all to see.

The question that comes in at a close second as most frequently asked is "Do you have names picked out yet?". Answer= No. But we are getting close. We now have the girls named narrowed down to 2 and the middle name set and the boys name narrowed down to 2 with no middle name in sight. I'm thinking this child will come when it sees we've decided on a name that it actually likes since we're on about name 8 at this point. There are at least 6 points in this pregnancy over the last month or so where if the child was born it would have a different name than what it might get now. Why does it have to be so hard? Why can't they name kids in the hospital sequentially like they do with hurricanes? I could live with Rita or Hugo if I knew everyone had the same chance as my kids of getting a craptastic name. Again, this should all play out soon enough and I'll post the answer here for all to see.

And just for good measure, the 3rd most frequently asked question is "How are you feeling?". Answer= I'm actually feeling pretty good. Thanks for asking ;-).

I'm putting this out here on "the internets" so the whole wide world knows b/c I really do think y'all care. Please don't tell me if I'm mistaken because at this point my fragile mood can't handle it.

I am not smart

(said in my best Forest Gump voice) but I do know that the paper they make you sit on at the OB GYN office is pretty much useless if they are gonna leave you on it in an 85 degree office for 45 minutes.

Ew.
